Dr. A. Balaji is Assistant Professor Grade-1 in the School of Computing Science & Engineering of VIT-Bhopal University. He has served in different academic and administrative roles in various academic institutions since 2007. He holds a doctorate (Ph.D.) from the College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai. He completed his Master’s (M.E) in Computer Science & Engineering from Anna University, Chennai and M.Sc.[Integrated Course] in Information Technology from Periyar University, Salem. He has publications in indexed international journals such as SCI and Scopus. His research interests include Database, Cloud Technology, Bibliometrics and VR/AR. He is a Life Member of the Computer Society of India (CSI).

Dr. Sathish Kumar L.

Dr. Sathish Kumar L. is working as a Senior Assistant Professor G-I in the Gaming Division, School of Computing Science and Engineering, VIT Bhopal University. Dr. Sathish completed his Ph.D., in Computer Science at Alagappa University, Karaikudi. He has 12 years of academic experience and more than 35 research publications in refereed international and national journals and conferences. Dr. Sathish has two international patents and one design patent to his credit and has received two awards for his research and academic contributions. He has published six textbooks entitled Desktop Publishing, Desktop Publishing Second Edition, Artificial Intelligence, Data Communication and Networking, Java Programming, and Think by Python. He has completed consulting project work in “Text Archaeology with Tagged Indian Languages” with Asia University, Taiwan. He is taking E-Learning courses that are Mobile Game Development Basics, Intermediate, and Advanced. He is a reviewer for leading SCI and Scopus-indexed journals like Wireless Networks Journal, Springer, Alexandria Engineering Journal, Elsevier, IET Electronics Letters, and Ad-hoc Sensor Wireless Networks Journal, Old City Publishing, etc. He has been a resource person/session chair for a number of international conferences. He is a lifetime member of IEEE and a life member of IAENG. He is an active researcher in the fields of medical image processing, deep learning, machine learning, and data science.

Dr. Vikas Panthi 

Assistant Professor

Dr. Vikas Panthi, completed his M.Tech and PhD. from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Specialization: Software Engineering), National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela, in 2012 and 2017, respectively. During his tenure as a PhD Research Scholar, he worked as a teaching assistant and was involved in the development of Distributed Object- Oriented System (DOS) laboratory. Dr. Panthi has an academic experience of more than 3 years in University Department, Rajasthan Technical University Kota, Rajasthan. He was active member of BOS, RTU Kota and Exam section, CSE Deptt. UD RTU Kota. He has more than 16 SCI and Scopus publications in various peer reviewed Conferences and Journals. He is a reviewer with notable journals like Information and Software Technology, Elsevier, IEEE Access, International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering (IJECE), TENCON-2016- 17, International Journal of System Assurance Engineering and Management, Springer etc. His areas of research interest include Test Case Generation and Optimization, Bio-inspired Algorithm based Optimization, MC/DC Testing.

 

Dr. Kannan Shanmugam

Dr. Kannan Shanmugam is presently serving as Assistant Professor-Senior Grade II in the School of Computing Science and Engineering. He has completed his Ph.D. in the specialization of Information and Communication Engineering at Anna University, Chennai during the year 2016. He has obtained his B.E and M.E Degrees in the specialization of Computer Science and Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. His research work leading to his Ph.D degree was carried out in the field of Mobile Adhoc Networks and it was highly commended by both Foreign and Indian Examiners. Dr. Kannan’s research work focuses on developing new security architectures and routing strategies for secure mobile cloud communication. He has published 24 research papers in refereed international journals indexed in Scopus, SCIE, and SCI databases. Dr. Kannan also presented 16 papers at reputed international conferences and published a book chapter with Wiley Publishers. Also, to augment his research, Dr. Kannan has 3 International and National patents under his credentials.  In the year 2014, he has received the “Best performer Faulty” award from Infosys, Mysore, and recently awarded as “Best Circuit Faculty” by ASDF-India. As part of the faculty exchange program for collaborative research and Engineering Education, Dr. Kannan has visited KYUNGPOOK NATIONAL UNIVERSITY (KNU), SOUTH KOREA for the period of one month in 2015. In the year 2018, Dr. Kannan has successfully completed and certified for “IUCEE International Engineering Educator Certification Program” which is focusing on improving Engineering Education. Apart from academics, Dr. Kannan successfully headed various administrative positions in his previous worked institutions like Head of the Department, IQAC coordinator, and intuitional level committees.  He is an active member of various technical bodies like IEEE, ISTE, CSI, and IAENG. Dr. Kannan’s research area of interest is Mobile Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, Data Analytics and Machine Learning.
 

Dr. Ashok Kumar Patel

Dr. Ashok Kumar Patel is an Asst. Professor of School of Computing Science and Engineering at VIT Bhopal. Before joining VIT, Patel was working as an Assistant Professor at C. V. Raman Global University, Bhubaneswar. He received his Ph.D. from NIT Rourkela. During his Ph.D., Patel has solved the problem of ore quality estimation using machine vision. His work was published in peer reviewed journals. His area of research is machine learning and computer vision. Dr. Patel holds M.Tech. in Computer Technology from NIT Raipur. He is a member of IUPRAI, ACM and IEI.
 

Dr. M. Maragatharajan

Dr. M. Maragatharajan is an Assistant Professor in the school of Computing Science and Engineering, VIT Bhopal University, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He received his Bachelor degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from CSI Institute of Technology which belongs to Anna University by 2007. He has received his Master degree in Information Technology in 2010 and Ph.D in 2019 from Kalsalingam Academy of Research and Education. He has eleven years of Teaching experience and one year of Research experience. His area of research includes Networking, Network Security and Machine Learning. He is having more than 20 publications in various Journals and conferences. He has completed two consultancy projects.
 

Dr. E. Nirmala

Senior Assistant Professor

Dr. E. Nirmala received her doctorate from Anna University in Chennai, Madras Institute of Technology Campus. She has been a teacher in the academic profession for more than 18 years. worked as an assistant professor, associate professor, and HOD for numerous institutions. She is an expert in big data analytics, cloud security, and layered security. She is currently working on a project to protect people in Assam’s drowning river water with a team of students. She has led numerous faculty development programmes and seminars funded by ISTE and Anna University. She has worked as a trainer for IBM RAD and DB2 as well as a resource person for EMC2. And a highly effective mentor for the Infosys campus Connect programs. She has worked as a visiting faculty member at Anna University, Periyar University, MS University, and Tamil Nadu Open University. She has given guest lectures in colleges in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. She has been working as an Assistant Professor Senior for SCSE at VIT Bhopal University, holding a significant number of publications in journals both national and international. She excels academically as well as by giving lectures and providing public exposure through the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI) for start-ups. Dr. E. Nirmala is a life member of the ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education). Being an optimist, she would clutch the fingers of her student to dream for Big India.
 

Mrs. Jayanthi J

Assistant Professor

Mrs. Jayanthi J is pursuing her Ph.D. from Anna University, Chennai and  M.Tech(CSE) B.Tech(IT) completed from Pondicherry Central University. She has over 10 years experience in the field of academic and research in reputed Universities like Anna University, Lovely Professional University, Parul University and KARE. She is currently working as Assistant Professor with Vellore Institute of Technology-Bhopal.  Her core areas of expertise include Heritage imaging Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Leaning, Image Processing and Computer Vision, Big Data analytics, Natural Language Processing and Data visualization. She was involved in a project related to implementing in agriculture field and Heritage field. She has qualified for the UGC/NET exam. She has published 1 patent and more than thirty papers in international journals and conferences.
