Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS)

VIT, the name synonymous with world class academic excellence and for creating a student-friendly learning environment on all its campuses, has introduced Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS), for the benefit of its students. Carefully crafted and designed towards providing amazing advantages for the next generation Engineers and Researchers, FFCS offers total freedom for the students to customise their course, depending on their interests even while catering to the wish list. Under FFCS, a student can prepare his/her own timetable with the specific courses he/she intends to do in that semester along with the timings of classes and choice of professors.

In addition, this system ensures multi-disciplinary curriculum, encouraging students to gain intense knowledge, deeper insights in to varied topics.

Volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA)

Design of Timetable

The students can design their own timetable helping them pursue various future ready courses in addition to core courses. This also gives them better time management to pursue interests in other areas like cultural activities, sports, etc.

Semester Abroad Programme

VIT Bhopal Semester Abroad Programme aims to encourage students from all programmes to pursue a semester in one of the reputed international universities abroad, and the credits earned are transferred.

Internet-based Course Audit

The students with the help of faculty in the respective areas can audit courses in accordance with their performance, interests, career plans at regular intervals. If needed, the students are at the liberty to add few more topics as a part of their learning.

Programme Migration

The First Year B.Tech students can avail an option of migrating in to other disciplines. For instance, if a student joined in Mechanical Engineering but would like to change into other discipline by the end of first year, he or she can do it by all means, subject to certain rules.

Summer/Interim Semester

It is a unique feature which will enable students to choose Summer Semester or an Interim Semester for early completion of courses and the academic year. It will provide ample time and opportunities for the students to prepare for job interviews, project works and for higher studies.

International Transfer Progranmme

ITP is offered by the university where the students can opt for completing the degree from a reputed international university based on credits earned during the first two years of their bachelor’s degree in VIT.

Add, Substitute and Drop Courses

Students are at the liberty to customize their courses by adding or doing away with subjects. The faculty will guide the pupils in designing their tailor-made curriculum based on their interests, expertise in the relevant areas and especially on the career goals.

Social Responsibility-based Project Work (EPICS)

An inter-disciplinary project work designed to enable students towards first-hand understanding of the societal issues. This helps students identify real-life problems faced by rural and urban India and encourages them to come out with solutions that would help the society at large. Read More

Selection of Programme Honors/Minors

The students can choose interdisciplinary courses and attain Honours or a Minors degree, depending on the curriculum. The selection of such programme keeps them at par with the changing trends of industry and their own interest giving them edge in their careers in future.
