About the School

The School of Computing Science and Engineering (SCSE) started in 2017 with two programmes and 200+ students and it has grown to 15 programmes and 13000+ students today. The School of Computing Science and Engineering (SCOPE) is derived from SCSE in May 2024 through the functional and administrative restructuring of SCSE.

The SCOPE aims at leveraging the power of innovative digital technology and tech-enabled solutions to support better learning and living experiences for aspirants in computing science and interactive media technologies. Our programs are future-ready and forward- looking, and equip the students with a career at the forefront of innovation. The school will continue to successfully develop future-ready engineers in various domains of computing science and interactive media technologies to provide innovative solutions to the Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA) World.

To be a premier computing science and engineering school with international standards, for teaching, research and innovation benefiting industrial and societal aspirations.

  1. Cultivate a learning environment based on social constructivism, for students to learn creatively, communicate effectively and become technologically competent.
  2. Provide well-equipped laboratories with modern computing environments for students to practice engineering and implement technology.
  3. Nurture the skills for ethical participation in a diverse society, life-long learning, innovative research capabilities, and leadership abilities, which will enable the students to become the most sought-after professionals and future entrepreneurs.
  4. Collaborate with academia and industry to enhance knowledge and skill, and to upscale research and learning experiences.

  1. The school offers 03 Under Graduate, 01 Post Graduate, and Doctoral Degree Programmes in Computing Science, Gaming Technology, Education Technology.
  2. Academic Proceedings are conducted through innovative practices such as Fully Flexible Credit System (FFCS) for allowing the students to choose faculty members and timing for their classes, Collaborative & Active Learning through Technology (CALTech) for innovative class room practices, and Experiential Learning for Project Skill Improvements.
